Oil Free Hummus
A creamy, oil-free hummus made with chickpeas, tahini, and nutritional yeast for a healthy plant-based dip. The optional cashews add extra creaminess.

Ingredients
- 28 oz chickpeas (garbanzos), unsalted
- Liquid from one of the cans of chickpeas
- ½ cup cashews (optional)
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tablespoon Bragg's Liquid Aminos
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- ¼ cup nutritional yeast
- ¼ cup tahini (slightly less)
Instructions
- 1Drain the chickpeas and reserve the liquid from one can.
- 2Add all ingredients into a high-speed blender or food processor.
- 3Blend until smooth and creamy, adding reserved chickpea liquid as needed to reach desired consistency.
- 4Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
- 5Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to one week.
- 6Great with fresh vegetables, pita bread, or as a sandwich spread.
